Mikro Vaerkstedet A/S was established in 1991. The purpose set up for Mikro Vaerkstedet was to develop, marketing and sell a broad variety of educational software.

The Development Department

Our development department exclusively develops educational software and multimedia titles for infant school, secondary school, upper secondary education, and upper vocational training. We also develop IT products for functionally disabled persons. Mikro Vaerkstedet’s development department takes up a very prominent position as a development centre for educational IT programmes in Scandinavia.

LEGO has chosen Mikro Vaerkstedet A/S as their partner in Denmark, Norway and Sweden for the translation, sale and promotion of their highly praised products like Robolab and e-lab.

The Sales and Marketing Department

Mikro Vaerkstedet A/S markets and sells IT products to the Danish, Norwegian and Swedish educational institutions. We have daughter companies in Oslo - Norway Mikroverkstedet as and Malmö – Sweden Elevdata ab.

We market most of the products via catalogues printed in numbers of 25.000, distributed to Scandinavian schools and key persons. Selected software products and equipment is marketed through our IT newspaper distributed to more than 150.000 Scandinavian teachers. The newspaper contains articles with educational relevance, and it has the dual purpose of creating image and promotion. There are 3-4 issues per year. Also we give numerous courses and demonstrations throughout the countries.

The School Agreement from Mikro Værkstedet

The School Agreement is a subscription agreement. On the CD-ROMs of The School Agreement you will find very exciting programs that is designed to support the curricula. Among the programs we can mention are: Programs designed to stimulate and encourage the creative and factual writing skills of the pupils.Programs published to develop and extend pupils’ reading skills. Math programs that encourages pupils to explore and discover the world of mathematics.

With The School Agreement from Mikro Værkstedet any school have always access to the newest educational programs. Beside the programs already included in the agreement at the time where you put your signature to the contract, you will have the permission to download new programs from our home site the same day they are published. The School Agreement is signed for a period of three years. Every year the schools receives a new collection of CD-ROMs that contains all the products included in the agreement. In addition to that, the school is allowed to use a numbers of old programs without any costs. Why buy when you can rent?

Support

This function has a linear organisation going through all departments. In principle Mikro Vaerkstedet gives free support on all sold products - both our own products as well as software and hardware from external suppliers and contractors. We are certain that the widespread confidence we enjoy among Scandinavian educational institutions is due to our great effort to sell products of quality and give the best advice.

Mikro Vaerkstedet works together with the vast majority of Danish, Norwegian and Swedish software publishing houses. This means that we are familiar with almost all educational software on the Scandinavian market. Add to this the fact that our sales department consists of a synergetic blend of teachers, senior masters, and professionally trained sales persons.

Mikro Vaerkstedet is highly specialized in the school market. This is also reflected in the fact that we by far are the biggest contractor of software and services to the Scandinavian schools. This leading position has been achieved through a purposeful policy merging staff qualifications, pricing and quality products with an extremely good knowledge of our customers’ demands and needs.
